TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Last updated: 23rd June 2024

These Terms and Conditions apply to the use of this website, enquiries, bookings and appointments arranged through Touch of Orient Massage.

By using our website, making a booking or attending an appointment, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. About Touch of Orient Massage

Touch of Orient Massage provides a calm and professional massage and wellbeing space at Unit 4, 7 Cheapside, Reading RG1 7AG.

Touch of Orient Massage provides the premises, booking support, facilities, products and administrative support for independent self-employed therapists operating from our premises.

Treatments are provided directly by the selected independent self-employed therapist. The therapist is responsible for the treatment service they provide, including treatment suitability, professional standards, client care and treatment-related matters.

2. Therapists

Therapists operating from our premises are independent self-employed therapists and are not employees of Touch of Orient Massage.

When you book an appointment, your treatment will be provided directly by the selected therapist. Touch of Orient Massage may assist with bookings, enquiries, appointment reminders, reception support, facilities and general administration.

3. Bookings

Appointments may be booked online, by phone, by email, in person or through our booking platform.

When making a booking, you are responsible for providing accurate contact details and selecting the correct treatment, date, time and therapist where applicable.

Appointment availability may vary depending on therapist availability.

4. Payments

Unless stated otherwise, payment for treatment is made directly to the selected therapist at your appointment.

Where online payment, deposit, card capture, cancellation charge or no-show charge is used, Touch of Orient Massage may collect or process this as booking administrator on behalf of the selected therapist.

Touch of Orient Massage provides booking, premises, facilities and administrative support. The treatment itself is provided directly by the selected independent therapist.

5. Card capture, deposits and no-show protection

We may ask for card details, deposit payment or other booking security when you make an appointment.

Card details may be securely stored by our booking or payment provider for appointment security, cancellation protection and no-show protection. Touch of Orient Massage does not store full card details directly on this website.

If you cancel late, fail to attend, or do not follow the cancellation policy, a cancellation or no-show charge may apply.

6. Cancellations and rescheduling

Please give as much notice as possible if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment.

Cancellations or rescheduling requests may be subject to our cancellation policy, which may include a charge for late cancellations or non-attendance.

If you are late for your appointment, the selected therapist may need to reduce the treatment time so that later appointments are not affected. The full appointment fee may still apply.

7. Treatment suitability and health information

You are responsible for informing the selected therapist of any medical conditions, injuries, allergies, pregnancy, medication, recent surgery, skin conditions or other information that may affect the suitability of your treatment.

The selected therapist may refuse, adapt or stop a treatment if they believe it is unsafe or unsuitable.

Massage and wellbeing treatments are not a substitute for medical diagnosis or medical treatment. If you are unsure whether a treatment is suitable for you, please seek advice from a qualified medical professional before booking.

8. Client behaviour

We operate a professional and respectful environment.

Clients must behave appropriately towards therapists, staff, other clients and anyone at the premises.

Inappropriate, abusive, threatening, discriminatory or sexual behaviour will not be tolerated. If this occurs, the appointment may be ended immediately, future bookings may be refused, and payment may still be required.

9. Complaints and feedback

If you have a concern about your appointment, please contact us as soon as possible.

Touch of Orient Massage may assist by recording your concern, passing it to the selected therapist and helping coordinate a response.

The selected therapist remains responsible for the treatment they provided, including treatment-related complaints, refunds, remedies, professional standards and insurance matters.

10. Prices and services

Prices, services, treatment descriptions, availability and opening hours may change from time to time.

Treatment descriptions on the website are provided for general information only. The exact treatment approach may vary depending on the selected therapist’s skills, training, availability and professional judgement.

11. Gift cards and promotions

Gift cards, vouchers and promotional offers may be subject to separate terms, expiry dates, restrictions and availability.

Gift cards and offers cannot usually be exchanged for cash unless required by law.

Promotions may be changed or withdrawn at any time.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
